COMPETE Winter

Our winter programs are for competitive 14U-16U female athletes looking to go beyond playing for fun and start competing at the Provincial and National level. The team will train 2-3x/month from January to April at 6Pack Indoor Beach Centre. Athletes should have some prior beach volleyball experience or a high level of indoor training. These training sessions are to help our athletes prepare for the summer beach volleyball season by developing strong fundamental skills, allowing for more advanced training in the summer. The winter training will be low intensity and very technical to avoid overtraining our athletes who are playing indoor club volleyball as well. Our training is meant to be complementary to indoor club volleyball, and we will work closely with our selected athletes to create a training schedule that  supports their overall technical, physical, and mental development for both beach and indoor. No partner is necessary for tryouts, but partner requests will be taken into consideration.

The winter training schedule will run from early January until mid-April, when we will stop training to allow athletes to focus fully on indoor Provincials and Nationals. Training sessions will be in small groups with 6-8 athletes per coach in order to offer individualized feedback and support. Exact training dates will be determined with the selected athletes after tryouts. We will do our best to accommodate indoor training schedules when creating the finalized beach training schedule. Fees for winter training are ~$400 for 10 sessions and a t-shirt from January to May.
